JEWISH HERITAGE  AND MONTEVIDEO HIGHLIGHTS

Tour Length: 4 hours.

Montevideo became a home for the Ashkenazim (Central and Eastern Europe), the Sephardim ( South and West), the Hungarian, as well as German Jews. They preserve their religious and social traditions. Here they enjoyed tolerance which was denied to them in most Europe in the 1920´s. And above all, they showed a strong sense of solidarity and participation in the different communities, synagogues, schools, newspapers and culural centers.

CITY TOUR AND PARLIAMENT

Tour Length: 6 hours.

During this beautiful tour we will visit the most attractive places in the city. We will have the opportunity to know the Old City, with its distinctive and pleasing architecture, the Port Market, Independence Square, Parliament Palace, the romantic neighborhood known as "el Prado", and the beautiful Rambla, the wide avenue that skirts around the city along the water front.

HIGHLIGHTS OF MONTEVIDEO AND WINE TRAIL

Tour Length:  6 hours.

The wines of Uruguay are spectacular. We visit the bodegas where the best Uruguayan wines are produced. This tour includes visiting the highlights of Montevideo and seeing the nearby vineyards, wine boutiques, cellars and tasting the extraordinary products.

PUNTA DEL ESTE

Tour Length:  full day departing from Montevideo.
Tour Length:  half day departing from Punta del Este.      
 
Visit the main sites of this seaside city, famous throughout the world. See its principal avenue, Juan Gorlero, the yacht pier, Candelaria´s Church, the Sepharadic Synagogue Beit Meir- Beit Yacacob, the light house, the circumnavigating Rambla, Golf residential neighborhood, the Brazilian neighborhood of Beverly Hills, the wavy bridge of La Barra, and on Mansa beach, "Casapueblo".

Minimum 2 persons. The tours are paid when they are finished in cash American dollars. Tips for the driver and the tour guide are not included as well as Tzedakah in the Jewish buildings. Please confirm bookings 30 days in advance.
